POSTCARD PROJECT SEPT 01, 2015

I recently got this water color post card sketch book as a present from my mother! I've been super into making them, some of you that follow my social media have probably seen me post little illustrations I've done with them.

Here are some examples of the drawings that I've done so far! Each of them is being sent out as a little hello greeting card for my friends and family! I love that is such a easy and organized way to craft a little 'I'm thinking of you or miss you' handmade greeting.

This is the sketchbook it's just a simple sketchbook for postcards and it's super inexpensive, around three dollars! You can purchase them on the blick website on the link directly above. The paper is made for water coloring and mailing so its thick and doesn't wear from pen markings.

Holiday themed drawings are simple! This drawing was mostly just line work. If you aren't confident in your drawing / creativity skills just simply google examples of christmas, halloween etc. to find ideas for doodling or ways to do simple drawings. Either way if you make a masterpiece or not the craft of the actual postcard is professionally made ( so it will look neat ) and something personal even little stick figures will make your card make someone feel special!

That specific spooky pumpkin themed postcard I made for my sister and her husband on the east coast as a fall / halloween theme greeting card. The back of the drawing is a postcard so you can write a simple note like me.
(●´∧`●) Opps my handwriting is sloppy.

You can add a thoughtful letter or even another drawing to this space.

The notepad is super small ( the size of a postcard ) , so it's really easy to travel with! I did this for my friend Juliana while waiting a few hours while I got a car check up and oil change. I was there foreverrrrrrrrr, so I came prepared with a book, pen, and the notepad. I actually brought the book to read but I did end up using it as something stable to draw from my lap in the waiting lounge. If you have doctor appointments, going to the dmv, car check up, or anything else really where you need to burn some time this is a great idea, you get something done that makes time go by quick as well as have a little gift for someone!

This is the post card with the blue lady drawing above and the little letter to my friend Juilana on the back. She also sent me a post card too, its a cute way to keep in touch with my friend since she's over in NYC.

This one I made for a boy that I like.  Yes I am that cliche girl that makes little love notes and drawings but I don't mind because he thought it was super cute. Goal accomplished! Were both dorks that like anime, well actually we are obsessed with anime so I did a little anime theme girl card for him! You could do something like this with someone you love or are crushing on, maybe have a cute inside joke, or save it for when you are apart from your other half for work or family stuff and remind them you are missing them!

I hope this was helpful and if you enjoyed it please let show your friends!
hugs and kisses
